Through fine step division and good torque the hybrid stepper motor agrees the positive characteristics of a PM stepper motor and reluctance stepper motor.
Because of its construction, these stepper motors have a considerably smaller external magnetic field than PM stepper motors.
Therefore most of today's stepper motors are hybrid motors.
These motors as well as PM motors are used wherever precise positioning is required.
Size: 20mm – 110mm
Step resolution depending on model from 0.9 °
Holding torque depending on model up to 28Nm
Typical application: e.g. CD / DVD / Blue Ray drives, printers and CNC machine tools
